WG1 webinar (June 7th 2024)

The webinar focused on measuring metabolism across scales: from cardiomyocytes to the heart. Fist session reported on measuring energy metabolism on hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes (Jean-Sébastien Hulot) and hypertrophic cardiomyocytes (Anna Zoccarato). Next session addressed the perturbations in cardiac energy metabolism, from insulin and glycolysis dependency of Nicotinamide Riboside during acute cardiac I/R protection (Coert Zuurbier) to a non-canonical role of Transcription Factor EB in Cardiometabolic Health and Disease (Thomas Pulinilkunnil). Finally an open discussion with a poll on the expectations of all participants for this COST action closed the webinar.
