Biography
I am the Director of the Cardiovascular Research Center at the Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Director of the Cardiovascular Research Chair of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Director of the UNESCO Chair in Biomedical Sciences Training and Research. My research activities focus on coronary artery disease/ ischemic heart disease, and the development of heart failure. I have published over 560 articles in highly qualified scientific journals with my work highly quoted in the scientific literature (h-index 92). I am member of Editorial Boards of various international scientific journals in the field of the call. I have a solid and robust background on the topic of the call, particularly on metabolism and the inflammatory response.
